Sometimes you may want to use Samba for non-standard purposes. Maybe you want to send out an internal company newsletter, maybe you want to reach out to your fans. There may be many different reasons. In this article we will go through the possibilities of Samba in these non-standard scenarios. How to approach the integration and which option should you choose based on your preferences.
There are three options for setting up Samba.ai according to your needs.
- External campaigns – You can use external campaigns, but in this case, before every newsletter, you would need to upload an external audience and manage it manually (remove e-mails that have unsubscribed, etc.).
- Using empty feeds – You can use empty feeds for products and categories and use a customer feed with your targeted audience. Or you could use empty feeds for all feeds and upload contacts only through Contacts management.
- Standard integration – Set up an account, integrate feeds, and follow the regular process of integrating Samba.ai based on the platform that you are using..
You will need to create a new Samba.ai account for any of these scenarios and set up a sending domain. You can even use the one you are already using in Samba. You can do that right now and decide on the option you’ll choose later.
If you are not sure which option is the right one for you, answering these questions may help you pick.
- How will you manage your database or recipients? Will there be changes often?
- Would you be okay with updating the database manually? Don’t forget to take into account the frequency of your newsletters.
- Would you like to manage unsubscribes, or do you prefer to always send the newsletter to all e-mail addresses from your list?
- Would you like to track engagement metrics for your newsletters? You will always see how many newsletters were opened, but some options do not provide insights into clicks, heatmaps, etc.
- How many recipients will you have? Managing a larger amount of contacts manually could get very time consuming.
