Here we showed you how to connect Samba and Facebook. Now let’s take a look at what Facebook Lead Ads are and how you can use them in Samba.
What are Facebook Lead Ads?
Lead Ads is an advertising format, that helps you easily gather information from potential customers on Facebook. Lead Ads can be for example used to gather relevant registrations for newsletter subscriptions.
It is a type of campaign that helps advertisers to collect relevant information about users. The most common information is:
- Name/Surname
- Email address
- Phone number
- City
But Facebook Lead Ads surely doesn’t stop there. And that’s not all, you also don’t need any additional connection with your web or app. Everything runs within Facebook.
How to set up Facebook Lead Ads?
The process is easy and not any different from regular ad campaigns. In the campaign creator, choose as a goal of your campaign Get more leads.
As usual, in your campaign, you need to set up a daily budget, locality, age, and other specifications. You can also disable some types of placement such as Instagram or Facebook stories.
Place text and image in your ad and connect UTM code (optionally launch Facebook pixel).
An important step is to create a form. Therefore select an option Create new form.
Use Lead Ads in Samba
You have successfully launched your ad on Facebook and collected data about your potential customers. Now let’s take a look at how to import that information to Samba.
Export of CSV file
To export your data and import it to Samba you have to follow these steps.
- Go to Meta Business Suite
- Click All Tools from the menu
- Click Instant Forms
- Click Download next to the form with the leads you want to export
- Choose how you want to download your leads:

- Click Download New Leads if you only want to export the leads that you’ve received since the last time you downloaded
- Click Download by Date Range if you want to download all the leads you’ve received during a certain time period. After you select this option, choose the preferred date range and click Download
- A window appears with your form information. Click CSV or XLS to download the leads data in your preferred file type
You have 90 days from the time a lead submits their form to download their information. Leads expire after 90 days. We recommend that you export your leads data regularly.
Import to Samba
Now when you already exported your data you can easily import them to Samba.
Firstly you need to edit your CSV file for example in MS Excel so that it contains only one column with email addresses.
In the section, Customers & Products click on Contact management. It will open the administration of your email contacts. Here place your CSV file with contacts into the gray area. As an Action select Add New Customers and Subscribe them and click the button Execute action.
